You'll still get a complimentary breakfast, laundry facilities, and a picnic area, but it doesn't have a fitness or business center. Rooms range from $84 to $104 a night and is the perfect option if you're on a tight budget. It's nothing fancy, but it does the job of providing a clean room.

Campgrounds and Cottages

Del Mar Beach and Marina

If you're the adventurous type and you love traveling the country in your RV or camper van, then you might be interested in one of the campgrounds near Camp Pendleton. The first is Del Mar Beach and Marina where you camp right near the ocean.

With beachfront sites and special reservation options for service members, you can book your site up to three months in advance. Active duty service members get access to reservations on the first of the month, reservists and veterans have access on the second of the month, patrons of the DoD get access on the third of the month, and everyone else has reservation access on the fourth of the month.

The difference between the cottages at San Onofre beach is that they come in either one-, two-, or three-bedroom varieties. All of this space makes it the perfect opportunity to gather large groups of family and friends for a beach getaway or transitional housing for your growing family while you're temporarily stationed at Camp Pendleton.

There are laundry facilities on-site and pets are welcome at San Onofre Beach. Rates vary from $18 per person per night for ground camping at the campgrounds or $216 per night for a 3-bedroom cottage. You can't beat these prices for a beachfront property.
